I Found Heaven at Budweiser Stage
I had the pleasure of attending Conan Gray's concert at Budweiser Stage on September 23rd with one of my best friends. I will forever remember the experience of screaming my heart out with thousands of other people.
Conan Gray is an American singer-songwriter who has steadily been climbing in popularity since his first full album Kid Krow in 2020. His music often centers on themes of heartbreak, romance, and friendship. His current tour is for his newest album, Found Heaven. The album is very different from his other music, which is more sad and slow. Found Heaven is more pop and upbeat, deriving lots of inspiration from 80s pop, with his look even resembling Michael Jackson.
The crowd at the concert I attended was the biggest Gray had ever performed for in his life, which actually brought him to tears on stage during one of his songs. The opener for the North American leg of his tour was British singer Maisie Peters. I hadn’t listened to her music before, but I quite enjoyed it.
In general, there has been an increase in the popularity of live concerts. After missing out on many concerts due to the pandemic, people are desperate to experience them again. One large problem though is that tickets for popular artists are insanely expensive and difficult to get, so when I’m fortunate enough to attend one, I'm overjoyed.
