NOVA*LUN*O*SIS

/.nova–loo-no-sis/.

noun. literary

1. the sedation endured in looking at the stars

“she laid back against the tangled black grass, a heavy feeling of novalunosis drawing upon her”

and the stars seemed prettier, shining in your eyes/

if i forget

when i’m older remind me,

darling,

to look at the skies/

if i can ever hold your hand kiss your mouth,

touch your skin,

then i can probably feel the moon/

with you, i could never tell

my secrets

with the Night,

she already knows all of mine/

just lay back, darling, and smell the night with me/

remember me

someone

because i can not paint a permanent scar

as the night has/

kill me now

under this night

so i can die somewhere prettier than all of you/

difficult nights

are saved for the feeling ones

that kind of grieving over the past and dreading the future/

almost reaching for the stars teasing my fingertips but i am not close at all/

the only thing i can think of that is colder than a winter day

is a winter night/

and to the dreams

i have came to embrace you all,

the evil things you bring/
